The Yeoman Warders (Yeomen or Beefeaters) have guarded the Tower of London since Tudor times. They are known for their iconic uniforms.
OBVERSE
The obverse of the coin displays the fifth coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Royal Mint designer, Jody Clark.
REVERSE
The reverse of the coin was designed by the artist, Glyn Davies, who designed all the coins in the series. It shows a Yeoman Warder, holding an axe, in front of a wall of the Tower of London.
When placed together, the 4 coins in the series create a plan of the Tower of London.
The Tower of London mint mark appears on the bottom-right of the coin.
