In 2022 to celebrate British Monarchs Collection, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue King Henry VII £500 Five Hundred Pound Gold Proof Coin struck in solid Fine 999.9 Gold weighing five ounce of pure Gold.
The British Monarchs Collection celebrates legendary Kings and Queens of the United Kingdom with each coin bearing an original coinage portrait of a monarch as it appeared during their reign, transposed from genuine historical samples using state-of-the-art technology and faithfully recreated for contemporary coinage.
The first coin in the series designed by Alexander of Bruchsal features an original portrait of King Henry VII founder of the Tudor dynasty struck in proof quality which accentuates the details and enhances the overall aesthetics whilst the obverse depicts the fifth portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
